Chevron operates the Bibiyana Gas Field in Block 12. The field is situated in Nabiganj of Habiganj district. It’s the largest operating gas field in Bangladesh. First production from Bibiyana started in March 2007. Currently it has 26 producing wells and 1 water disposal well. Bibiyana is now the largest producing gas field in Bangladesh.

2012 | Final investment decision reached on Bibiyana Expansion Project, the largest foreign investment project in Bangladesh's history

2014 | Expanded capacity of plant, increasing production in 2015 by 300 million cubic feet, including two gas-processing trains, additional 14 development wells and an enhanced liquids recovery facility

2015 | Liquid recovery facility started up

2021 | Final investment decision on Bibiyana Optimization

2022 | Amendment of Production Sharing Contract (PSC)

2022 | Bibiyana Turbo Expander start-up

2023 | Booster Compressor start up
