The State Minister for Power, Energy and Minerals Resources, Mr. Nasrul Hamid MP recently visited Chevron Bangladesh operated Bibiyana Gas Plant. Chevron Bangladesh Managing Director and President, Eric M Walker greeted him along with Muhammad Imrul Kabir, Director Corporate Affairs and Carl Bourque, the Bibiyana Gas Plant Superintendent.

Chevron Bangladesh Sponsors Rotaplast International's Reconstructive Surgeries in Sylhet

Recently, a formal closing ceremony was held in Sylhet to mark the end of 7th Rotaplast mission to Sylhet, Bangladesh. As part of the mission, 69 patients—mostly children, living near Chevron Bangladesh operated Jalalabad gas-plant received free life-changing reconstructive surgeries to correct cleft-lip, cleft-palate, and other facial anomalies and burns.

Inauguration ceremony of Chevron funded Uttoron advanced welding lab in Khulna Shipyard

In 2021 Uttoron signed an agreement with Khulna Shipyard to launch advanced welding training and an advanced welding lab for the first time in Bangladesh. The new advanced welding lab will support young people in enhancing their welding abilities.

Inauguration of Chevron funded Bholanando Uttoron Technical Training Center

Honorable Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Mr. Ariful Haque Chowdhury inaugurated the Bholanando Uttoron Technical training center recently in Sylhet. Uttoron project is funded by Chevron and implemented by Swisscontact. Uttoron project started the modernization of Bholanando Uttoron Technical Training Center through partnership with Sylhet City Corporation.

Closing ceremony of Chevron funded Uttoron project held

Skills for better life project funded by Chevron and implemented by Swisscontact completed its six years journey. In presence of all the stakeholders, marked the end of this odyssey and the closing ceremony was held in a city hotel in Dhaka. The project worked to capacitate promising youths, create access to training for youth and capacitate the government. In the first phase (2016–2019) the project worked in three regions (Habiganj, Moulavibazar and Sylhet) and in the second phase (2019–2022) worked in five regions of the country (Dhaka, Habiganj, Khulna, Moulavibazar and Sylhet).
